What is co-axial conducting cylinders?
Ans- They are two (or more) hollow conducting cylinders that share the same axis (i.e., they are concentrically arranged, one inside the other). An inner conducting cylinder of radius - ? An outer conducting cylinder of radius -? Both are long and share the same central axis. This structure is often filled with air or dielectric between them.
What is the annular region between the cylinders?
Ans- The annular region between the cylinders is simply the space (gap) between the inner and outer co-axial conducting cylinders.
What is ignoring edge effects?
When we say “ignoring edge effects”, we mean assuming that the field or behavior of a system is uniform and ideal, and not disturbed by the ends or boundaries of the object.
What is the flux of the electric field ?
Ans- The electric flux is a measure of how many electric field lines pass through a given surface.
What is permittivity of free space?
Ans- It is a physical constant that measures the ability of vacuum (free space) to allow electric field lines to pass through it.
